At Plastic-Mart, we offer a full range of plastic septic tanks that range in size from 200 gallons to 3525 gallons. In between, we have plastic septic tanks in 300, 500, 750, 1000, 1250, 1500, 2000, 2500 and 2650-gallon sizes. Regardless of size, though, all of our plastic septic tanks are constructed from polyethylene resins as a great alternative to concrete.

Our plastic septic tanks are built to last, take half the effort to install, and lower your overall septic tank costs. As a result, they can be used in a wide range of residential and commercial uses, from homes and outhouses to trailers, RV parks, and portable construction buildings. With our extensive experience selling and maintaining plastic septic tanks, we can help you create the perfect septic system that complies with all U.S. health code requirements.

At the small end of our range, our 200 gallon plastic septic pump tank weighs 80 pounds and comes with dimensions of 47″ diameter x 56″H. Manufactured by Norwesco, this non-plumbed tank (i.e. the tank does not come pre-plumbed) designed for below ground use includes a 20″ manway with watertight lid and a pump stand molded into the bottom.

At the big end of our range, our 3525-gallon underground holding tank from Norwesco is manufactured from linear polyethylene as part of a one-piece, seamless construction. Made from 100 percent virgin polyethylene plastic, this tank is designed for underground fresh potable water storage and underground rainwater storage applications.

While septic tanks are suitable for waste water systems, keep in mind that there are a number of important regulations that apply for these systems. Across the United States there are a number of health code requirements that septic tanks must meet. These codes are regulated by the state, or county where you are located. As a general rule, for example, plastic septic tanks may not be used for storage of chemicals intended for human consumption. And you can’t install a septic tank under a driveway, a pathway or an area of vehicular traffic or it will void the warranty.

When choosing a plastic septic tank, you’ll have to decide whether you want to use your septic tank above ground or below ground. Underground plastic septic tanks are designed for below ground use only. Using the tanks above ground can result in deformation of the tank. It is far more cost-effective to utilize an above ground storage tank that is specifically designed for above ground use. For your convenience, we also carry an excellent selection of above ground septic tanks to meet your needs.

You’ll also need to choose between one compartment and two compartment septic tanks. Aside from differences in capacity between the one and two compartment septic tanks, the way in which water flows and collects in the tank is distinct. A second compartment allows more room to settle the solids and liquids in the tank. In a single compartment tank, one chamber holds all the liquid, sludge and scum. Adding a second compartment provides an additional area for you sludge and liquid to exist. An extra compartment also gives you more space and more time before you need to empty the tank.
